HR Outsourcing Sessions to be Featured at IHRIMs 2005 Conference in Reno, Nevada

Outsourcing, while a hot sound bite during the 2004 election season, is a business strategy that has been employed for centuries. However, HR outsourcing, and more specifically HR business process outsourcing, is a much newer, more controversial business strategy that is also getting a lot of press these days. At IHRIMs 25th Annual Conference and Expo, May 1-4, 2005 in Reno, there will be an entire educational track devoted to the pros and cons of HR outsourcing from domestic and global perspectives.

December 30, 2004 -- HR outsourcing will be a key topic of presentation and discussion at IHRIMs 2005 Conference & Expo, May 1-4, 2005 in Reno, Nevada. Because HR outsourcing has been initiated by organizations of all sizes, and many companies are considering expanding to more business process outsourcing, IHRIM has put together an educational track that will provide useful and timely information to conference attendees.

These sessions focus on exploring the variety of ways that HR can use to deliver its services to employees. These sessions are not necessarily technology related, but help provide alternatives for companies of all sizes and structures. They also provide insight into the identification of alternatives, evaluation and selection and ongoing operational management and effectiveness.

The HR outsourcing sessions will include the results from recent research of companies that have outsourced most, if not all, of their HR functions. Attendees will also hear case studies from companies that have been there and done that and what lessons they learned. Some of the sessions topics and companies presenting include:
HR Outsourcing: Has It Delivered on Its Promises? Towers Perrin
The Outsourcing Mandate: Lifting the Veil on an Arranged Marriage Cendant Corporation and Accenture
Moving Beyond HR Outsourcing: Repositioning Talent for Greater Value Aon Consulting
